Red Brick Unveils Red Brick Formation(TM)    (May 19)

Red Brick Systems, Inc., The Data Warehouse Company(R), today announced Red Brick Formation(TM).  Northwoods licensed the Sanscript visual programming technology to Red Brick, and worked with them to deliver Formation.

PC Week Labs reviews DIGITAL Visual Batch

The April 22nd issue of PC Week reviews DVB.  It states "...the Script editor and the Coordinator ... is where Visual Batch really shines".   Wow!  Thanks!

The Script component of DVB is a version of Sanscript, and the Coordinator was a custom GO++ application built by Northwoods for inclusion in DVB.  Read the full review here.

DIGITALTM Visual Batch for Windows NT & Windows 95 ships! (February, 1998)

Digital announced DIGITAL Visual Batch, the premier batch processing system for the Windows NT environment. Northwoods contributed two significant applications to this enterprise batch job scheduler. A version of Sanscript, our fully visual scripting language, is included as the "Visual Batch Script" component for writing batch programs.  In addition, Northwoods supplied the "Coordinator" application.   Coordinator allows users to quickly design a multi-step batch job using fully visual techniques. Coordinator uses GO++, Northwoods' MFC extension for interactive node arc diagrams.

Red Brick Systems acquires Engage.Fusion(tm) from Engage Technologies

Red Brick Systems announced it has signed an agreement with Engage Technologies, a subsidiary of CMG Information Services (CMGI), to acquire Engage.Fusion(tm), Engage.Discover(tm) and their shared object-oriented metadata facility. Northwoods visual language technology is a component of the Fusion product.
